The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment programalready underway.
As Senior Operations Manager, we would like you to join us now to be part of the core implementation team and to transition to site leadership roles in the ‘business as usual’ structure. This is a great opportunity to be a major part of the successful implementationof what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

**Senior Operations Manager Responsibilities**:

- Ensure operational performance meets business targets and clients' expectations
- Deliver supply chain improvements and reduced costs through utilisation of the Unipart Way principles and tools
- Deliver operational and customer service excellence through innovation, continuous improvement, effective process management and effective leadership
- Lead a team of people capable of implementing tactical and strategic projects that will reduce the overall cost of the client's supply chain
- Lead a team of people and ensure that a culture of employee engagement is embedded within own teams and their reports

**Senior Operations Manager Requirements**:

- Worked in automotive logistics or FMCG environments
- Self-motivated individual with an analytical mind and an eye for detail
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Customer focused
- Strong problem solving skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set
- Strong administrative and IT skills
- Previous experience of managing busy/complex operational teams
- Strong team management skills
- Track record of leading and delivering quality through process adherence

**Location**: Appleby Magna (DE12)
**Contract Type**: Fixed Term, 12 months
**Hours**: Full Time
**Salary**: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum plus car allowance
