I am seeking a Chief Design Engineer for an established automotive engineering company to lead new product development.

They are part of a growing successful business operating in the supply of automotive components for a range of commercial engines both ICE and Electric. They provide design and development services for other sister companies within the engine products divisionbeing a global supplier/market leader in their field

The Chief Design Engineer will take on the position as the Chief of design on new product development to support customer engineering programs.

**What You Will Do**:
As Chief Engineer Powertrain;
- Lead on a range of electrification projects, presenting design concepts to clients
- To provide leadership to design team on a range of engine ancillaries including oil, water & fuel pumps
- Work from 1st principals in concept design work utilising proven problem solving skills
- Work alongside engineering team to ensure design is optimised for manufacture
- To liaise with design team & cross functional teams to resolve design issues

**What You Will Need**:
As Chief Engineer Powertrain
- Degree qualified Engineer with proven industry experience
- Proven ability in one of the leading 3D CAD modelling packages
- Demonstrable experience in powertrain product development
- Knowledge/experience in concept design work
- Good understand of manufacturing processes, DFM
- Be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on a range of projects to tight deadlines
