Trainee Animal Technician

The life science industry offers a great career with the opportunity to gain qualifications and move up the corporate ladder. That starting salary is up to £22,000 so just think what you could be earning in 5 years’ time.

Daily duties working as an Animal Technician include.
- Feeding and watering
- General health checking
- Handling animals
- Cage cleaning and washing

The qualities of an Animal Technician are:

- High levels of motivation and a good work ethic
- A genuine passion to work with animals - demonstrating care, welfare, and compassion
- Previous experience working with (and handling) animals would be beneficial
- Accurate data entry
- Flexible and adaptable
- Enjoys working on your own and as part of a team
- Your own transport will be an advantage but not essential

Don’t worry if you haven’t previously held the role of an Animal Technician, providing you meet our requirements you will receive on-the-job training with full pay and benefits from day 1.
