- To collaborate on the response to pollution incidents and to carry out the fieldwork required to write a report surrounding an Ecological Impact Assessment.
- To complete site assessment of aquatic wildlife and develop the corresponding reports.
- To carry out surveys which could involve fish, quality of water, macrophytes etc.
- To provide supervision and emergency site support to the group when necessary.
- To be accountable to senior staff with regards to the management of your own workload and provide relevant information in a sufficiently timely manner.
- To aid in the maintenance of client relations.

**The ideal ecologist will have**:

- Previous experience working within an ecological consultancy.
- A relevant degree in an environmental discipline.
- Well versed abilities in IT software, particularly Microsoft Office programmes, in order to produce reports to a good standard.
- Familiarity with ecological field surveys, understanding their core principles and practices.
- A passion for the environment and demonstrate a desire to enhance their skill set whilst working with colleagues and clients on a daily basis.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and be flexible with hours of work depending on the company's needs to carry out projects.
- Professional Accreditation (or be working towards)
- A Full UK Driving license.
