Are you excited by the significant role that Geographical Information Systems can play in informing key business decisions? Are you seeking a role which offers you the opportunity to work across a variety of projects?

**So, what are we looking for?**

As a Geospatial Officer you will provide a spatial information service to teams across the organisation who are working on a wide variety of projects which will support the growth and development of the Greater Manchester region.

You will be part of a team that maintains spatial data for the organisation and develops new processes to deliver these. You will act as the principal contact for the management of GIS contracts and licences. You will also undertake spatial analysis and provide support to other users using spatial data.

You will have advanced GIS software experience, including MapInfo. You should have experience of developing and manipulating a variety of datasets and managing their licences.

**Key Skills**:

- Experience in successfully planning and managing projects and of prioritising variable workloads
- Programming skills
- Data Management
- Experience of developing, managing and manipulating spatial and non-spatial datasets
- Understanding of the development and design of databases, and the integration of data from various systems E5 Communication
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for a variety of audiences
- Effective communication with clients/users of analytical findings and recommendation

**What’s in it for you?**

This is a permanent position. The salary for this role is £35,510 - £39,967 per annum. Salary will be based upon skills and experience.
