Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management Ltd is seeking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant Supervisor, working at North Tyneside General Hospital and other sites Trust-Wide as necessary to the needs of the service.
The successful post holder will be jointly involved in the day to day operation and maintenance of all Building/Engineering, life and business-critical services, plant and equipment within all Trust and non-Trust properties within their remit, including some installation work. They will jointly lead a team of Maintenance Assistants organising and prioritising workloads and resource. They will be required to participate in the Estates on-call rota and undertake essential out of hours on-call duties, as directed. The successful Post holder will be expected to have supervision of the Trustwide Bed Maintenance programme ensuring the programme is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
The successful applicant will already have significant M&E Building Services experience, as well as extensive supervisory experience in an Estates or similar environment. They must be versatile and be able to handle conflicting priorities with the ability to work under pressure. Prioritising workload and resource according to service and business demand. They will be computer literate, have good technical knowledge and ability, with good verbal and written communication skills. They will also possess good interpersonal skills, allowing them to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel, within and beyond the organisation

The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary organisation and not Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
To jointly supervise all Maintenance Assistants and external provision to the Estates Department and other directorates within NHCFT. Provides advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, fabric and utility services for NHFML & the Trust.
