Reporting to President, Global Markets this is a unique opportunity for an exceptional, energetic market leader to develop something completely new and play a key role within the International region.

**Responsibilities**
- In partnership with the International and Global Markets team, design and execute bespoke strategies, plans, and tactics that capitalize on all local opportunities to maximize revenue, whilst also being mindful of investment to optimize country-level profitability
- Build and execute launch plans for Albireo’s products across all markets, establishing and achieving ambitious revenue growth and profit targets, coupled to prudent cost management
- Fulfill the full potential of Albireo’s portfolio of life-changing pharmaceuticals via a relentless prioritization of the most cost-effective, targeted activities in the market to ensure delivery of annual commercial performance goals and revenue targets for all markets
- Represent Albireo in the market and build strong relationships across the key target groups of HCPs, always upholding high professional standards, with respect to the internal organization and external stakeholders
- Take ownership of designing and executing fully integrated cross-functional account and HCP plans, including all customer promotion as needed
- Lead the cross functional teams across all markets, ensuring balanced and well-coordinated communication with all of Albireo´s external key customers
- Foster an environment of strong cross-functional collaboration, planning and execution within the local organization, regionally and globally
- Be the local lead for all end-to-end Market Access processes and pricing discussions with relevant authorities and payer bodies and partner closely with the International and Global access teams
- Identify, propose, and execute on local pricing and market access (P&MA) strategies consistent with European P&MA strategy and in close collaboration with the International and Global access teams
- Identify local market trends early, anticipate future developments and present those internally in a factually balanced, transparent fashion, always paired with proposals for suitable business strategies to address and adapt to change
- Lead community engagement by building relationships directly with external bodies (Payors, Policy Makers, Patient Associations, KOLs, etc.) - ensuring strict compliance
- Create and drive a high-paced, high-performing, dynamic & ambitious working culture by fostering innovation, customer-focus, personal accountability, business acumen and a relentless commitment to success
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory and compliance requirements, corporate policies, and procedures, and drive this culture in the local organization
- Recruit, hire, train and retain top talent to the local organization according to plan

**Desired Personal Pivotal Skills, Experience & Expertise**:

- Strong cross functional, operative leadership experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, either as a General/Country Manager or an experienced business unit (and P&L) lead with direct market access leadership and price negotiation experience
- A thorough understanding of the regional pharmaceutical market access and reimbursement environment and processes, with previous direct exposure and success in developing and executing access and reimbursement strategies
- Experience with orphan drugs is preferred, specialty care product experience required. Experience in hepatology and pediatrics would be an advantage
- A successful track record of executing specialty or orphan product launches in the region (specifically France & The Netherlands)
- Hands-on leadership experience in a start-up environment or commercial build-out phase is highly advantageous
- An ability and personal drive to build robust relationships rapidly with KOLs and other key external stakeholders
- Broad multicultural awareness, ideally with some international experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong formal presentation skills. Ability to manage up, across and down
- Fluency in both French & English
- Undergraduate degree required; MBA and/or post graduate preferred
