My client are well recognised **manufacturer of water boosting and pump solutions and are** currently needing a Design Engineer/CAD Technician to join their team on a 6 Month FTC. This role would definitely suit a graduate and would provide anexcellent opportunity to take first steps into the world of design and manufacturing.
As a Design Engineer you will be working alongside the New Product Introduction team and will be responsible for the 3D modelling of new products, creating 3D assemblies, detailed designing of parts as well as being involved with the generation of BoMS formanufacturing.
As mentioned previously this is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to join up with a very well-established manufacturing company and will provide valuable skills to set you up in the world of work.
**SKILLS & TRAINING THAT YOU WILL DEVELOP WITHIN THE ROLE & COMPANY**:

- Product development experience
- Creation of manufacturing documentation
- Project management experience
- Creation and implementation of ECNs
- Excellent skills with SolidWorks CAD.
- Good Word and Excel Skills
- Understanding of BS8888
- Knowledge of fluid handling
- Knowledge of electric motors and simple control systems

**Key skills & responsibilities as a Design Engineer/CAD Technician**:

- Assist in the development of new products as required
- Maintain and develop improvements for the current products
- Produce all supporting technical information such as, costings, technical construction files, design calculations, BoMS, technical specifications, marketing data and test data
- Production of 3D modelled parts and assemblies
- Carry out assembly drawings and detailed part drawings.

**Personal Skills as a Design Engineer/CAD Technician**: - Excellent verbal communication skills - have the ability to discuss projects with various team and staff members at all seniority levels.
- Ability to work in a team and group setting and take on equal responsibility
- Flexible with the ability to maintain effectiveness in the face of changing needs of the customer or the Company.
- Analytical skills, having the ability to relate and compare data from different sources and issues
