Our client, a highly sought-after consumer goods organisation based in Northumberland, are looking for a National Accounts Manager to join their team.
You will be responsible for managing the commercial and strategic relationship between the company and third party e-commerce channels. This includes the management, development and expansion of key accounts to drive strong trading performance. The NationalAccounts Manager is a commercially focused, ambitious individual who can deliver results through exceptional management of external and internal stakeholders. Strong product knowledge, focus on sales and the ability to be flexible in a dynamic e-commerce environmentis key. A passion for e-commerce and the drive and energy to ensure our products are visible, competitive and strategically placed is fundamental to the role.
**Role & Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for business development within the e-commerce side of the business including driving incremental sales via creation, development and implementation of channel specific trading strategies to increase market share and category leadership.
- Build close relationships with key sales channels to understand the customer journey and how the business can adapt to generate higher sales.
- Negotiate account-specific trading terms, drive pricing and promotional strategies with the channel partners to drive sales.
- Ensure contractual agreements are in place with marketplaces, adhered to and upheld by both parties.
- Work with the Product Development and Design team to focus on channel driven NPD requirements.
- Enhance the performance of the product portfolio across dedicated accounts, through maximising range review opportunities, an aligned brand plan and focused consumer research.
- Ensure strong internal relationship across both the E-Commerce trading team and cross functionally to ensure commercial plans are delivered.
- Responsible for developing a plan across all channels to encompass all seasonal variables. Reporting performance within channels to senior level on a weekly basis, with accurate and informative metric reporting to drive sales decisions.
- Develop and drive day to day management and opportunities within the marketplaces.
- Strong awareness of the competitive landscape with a focus on implementing strategies to increase market share.
- Working with the Marketing and Graphic Design team to ensure content and visual product representation is consistently of the highest standard to showcase the quality of our brand.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Approx. 3-5 years’ experience in an accounts management or sales related role
- A proven track record of achievement in a commercially oriented role, with demonstrable experience of contributing to the growth of a business
- Solid experience in customer relationship management and managing trade accounts
- A background within a retail environment (on or offline) would be an advantage
- Sound commercial judgement and a sales focus with strong sales and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills
