We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing team on Ward 4 at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

The role of a Housekeeper is vital for the smooth running of the department and you will be responsible for supporting the nursing team with non-clinical tasks, co-ordinating the provision of meals and help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable environment for patients.

**The working hours will be on a 4 week rota**:
Mon 3pm-7pm, Tues 3pm-7pm, Thursday 3pm - 7pm, Friday 3pm-7pm

Mon 3pm-7pm, Tues 3pm-7pm, Sat 3pm-7pm, Sun 3pm-7pm

- To help maintain a high standard of family centred care by providing a safe and suitable environment and that shortfalls are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- To work in partnership with staff and parents to try and adapt the environment in order to meet any diverse and special environmental needs.
- To support in a non-clinical way those who provide direct patient care.
- To co-ordinate services provided by the Estates and Facilities and will work closely with support services departments.
- To monitor quality standards in the role of Ward Housekeeper, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
- To meet specific tasks for individual patient needs as will be determined by the nurse-in charge.
