**Head of Credit Control - Hybrid/Remote**

**Main function of the job**

The post holder will be working in the Finance team, within the Sales department alongside two revenue accountants. The post holder will not hold line managerial responsibility of the sales team, but will be responsible for, and take the lead to ensure accurate invoicing, timely cash collection and maintaining a clean and concise Debtor ledger. The role will be reporting to the Head of Finance.

Its headquarters are based in Ella Mews, London. You will be part of a compact and remote finance team so being a team player is essential to help this function operate effectively.

**Responsibilities**:

- Proven track record of lowering overdue debt and improving working capital
- Produce consolidated, highly accurate monthly billing information for internal and external customers including customer statements
- Ability to deliver management information in the right format to improve debtor days and analyse information for monthly board reports
- Get involved in cash collections as well as reconciling customer accounts
- Establishes and maintains relationships with individual or business customers or aid with problems these customers may encounter
- Help identify risks to the efficient working of the Order to Cash process and help implement controls and procedures to effectively operate these
- Provide clear and concise reports and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the data contained
- Effectively manage customer accounts and keep all contact information up to date to ensure that all invoices are correctly sent, and all debts are collected
- Work collaboratively with the customer service team in order to deal with any queries
- Managing the Debtor Ledger, providing weekly credit control report to Head of Finance
- Adhoc duties will include providing support to other accounting staff when required, Month End tasks and assisting with ongoing projects

**Skills**:
Minimum of 7 years working in Credit Control

AAT qualified or part qualified accountant

Ability to provide guidance to team members, effectively delegate and coordinate credit control tasks

Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with clients

Self-starter with ability to make an impact quickly

Produce concise and timely reports

Experience of processing large batches of invoices in a large diverse organisation or for multiple areas

Peoplesoft/ Tradeshift / CM2000 experience and working knowledge - desirable but not essential

Excellent customer service and team player skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, varied and demanding environment

**Salary**: £30,000 - £40,000
