**Summary**:
This is an opportunity for an experienced Operations manager who is looking to further their career and join an international logistics group with operations across mainland Europe and the UK. The company is profitable, successful and has a proud historyof exceptional customer service. It provides a variety of logistics solutions for its customers and operates a large, sophisticated European network.

The successful applicant will be expected to become the Depot Manager of this Essex based operation in a short period of time, focusing on transport services and managing a cross dock and logistics warehouse. Your background will ideally be in logisticsfor groupage/full loads, contract management and you will understand elements of European transport. Critical to the operation is its customs and import-export operation so knowledge of up-to-date customs brokerage and legal requirements would be ideal.

You will be commercially astute able to manage the P&L and produce and work within budgets ensuring that the Branch remains profitable by managing costs and margins in all areas as well as being a motivated and engaging leader of people.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing a cross crock and logistics warehouse
- Produce and work within budgets with a knowledge of P&L
- Manage key accounts
- Lead and develop a team of c40 staff

Key Skills/Experience:

- Knowledge of European and Domestic road transport
- Previous Freight forwarding logistics experience
- Good IT and WMS experience
- Ability to understand P&L
- Import/export customs knowledge very desirable
