CK Group is recruiting for a Scrum Master to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry who are based in Hertfordshire. This will be a 12 month contract, remotely based, and has been deemed outside of IR35.
Our client is a world leading innovative pharmaceutical company that is committed to improving the lives of patients.
The main purpose of the role will be to act as a proactive servant-leader on company initiatives (local and global, cross cultural), enabling the people to realize the value through facilitating, adoption of agile practices and frameworks, by simplifying theever changing complex environment in order to make our customer engagement as meaningful as our science.
**Responsibilities**:
- Facilitate scrum events and ceremonies, and optimize and adapt them for project and team needs and
value creation;
- Create and run workshops, both virtually and F2F, while managing expectations and stakeholders (e.g.
Design Thinking, Mission/Vision, OKRs/Outcome, team dynamics, PI Plannings, etc);
- Focus on getting things done, even when it requires extra flexibility and working out of the comfort zone,
including different time zones as required for global initiatives
- Coach the team to find a pace that is highly efficient and sustainable including practices and those
inexperience with agile frameworks and their roles.
- Guide the squad on self-organising to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks;
- Empower the product owner and the team to take ownership and focus on value creation, creating a
psychological safe space;
- Manage expectations and create alignment within stakeholders from all levels and parts of the
organisation.
- Manage resources, financials, risks and all administrative activities related to the initiative
Your Background:
- Exhibits focus on getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
- Is flexible and adaptable to work on high-pressure situations
- Has outstanding stakeholder management skills, including with senior leaders
- Exhibits the behaviors of a Lean-Agile Leader with a Lean-Agile Mindset
- Exhibits servant leadership behavior towards the scrum team and the wider organization
- Has proven experience in building high performing lean-agile teams and allowing those teams to excel by
empowering them and removing impediments
- 3+ years of experience as scrum master
