The School of Geosciences is seeking to recruit a motivated and experienced individual to undertake the role of Senior Buildings Support Officer. This position will report to the Deputy Head of Technical Services within the School’s Physical Resources & Technical Services Team at the University of Edinburgh.

**The Opportunity**:
The post-holder will be responsible for all day-to-day activities related to the management of a group of buildings and vehicles. This includes maintenance, Health & Safety, security and organisational issues relevant within functional public buildings. A further key responsibility will include allocation tasks to more junior colleagues and supervising the buildings team in conjunction with the Deputy Physical Resources and Technical Services Manager to ensure the work is completed to a high standard.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Educated to ONC/HNC level or previous relevant experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrable ability to critically assess verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to critically assess the quality of the work performed.
- Experience of working as a team to achieve collective goals.
- Independent worker, able to work unsupervised.
- Very Good IT skills as a user (e.g. web based reporting tools, Microsoft Office Excel, Teams).
