We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals to work within our Gynaecology Division as Lead Patient Pathway Coordinators for Urogynaecology to provide a comprehensive, professional and effective administrative service and to supervisor and monitor the staff within their team. These roles are crucial in looking after our patients from when they are initially referred to our Service by working closely with our Medical and Nursing Teams, until their treatment with us is concluded.

To work as part of a clinical team ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently for outpatient appointments, preadmission appointments, investigative treatments, diagnostic procedures and inpatient and day case operations within national guidelines and in accordance with the trust’s Patients Access Policy. This includes: NHS Constitution, waiting time standards; Department of Health admission guidelines and booking rules. Ensure that patients are informed with reasonable notice, and that all relevant paper work is completed for given appointment. This includes ensuring that all elective attendances/admissions are promptly and accurately recorded on the appropriate PAS system(s) including eReferral within one working day of receipt/decision to treat.

To provide administrative support to consultant/clinical teams including the management of clinicians diaries/timetables. Ensure consultants timetables, outpatient clinics and operating treatment session are fully and appropriately utilised. Attend regular meetings with consultant teams, MDT teams, clinical staff, clinical directorates/department and or general managers as required for efficient processes including validation of patient pathways. Able to attend regularly PTL meetings as required.
