Our customer is a leading supplier of specialised diesel-driven, alternative, and sustainable power systems, equipment, and services to a wide range of industries including oil and gas, marine, renewables, mining, agricultural, and construction.

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for all job/quotation related electrical engineering design and technical disciplines. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage the electrical design activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception quotation phase through to completion.

Description of Duties:
  1. Responsible for the electrical design of our products, including Genset and electrical parts of our pumps, HPU's and compressor units.
  2. Prepare, plan, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned electrical designs.
  3. Produce detailed technical work instructions, drawings, and designs.
  4. Monitor compliance to applicable codes ATEX etc., QA policies, performance standards and specifications.
  5. Interact with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  6. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
  7. Assign responsibilities and mentor electrical contractors.
  8. Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager, production department and other project participants to offer technical support.
  9. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  10. Procure materials as required.
  11. Ensure all QHSE rules are followed.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Experience with generators.
  2. High level experience in creating electrical schematics.
  3. Strong technically. Able to prioritise workload.
  4. Ability to work in a team environment.
  5. Good Customer and Supplier Communication.
  6. Must be flexible working on multiple jobs and meet deadlines.
  7. Experience in Electrical Design Engineering Role.
  8. HNC/HND or Equivalent Experience.
  9. Highly organised planning skills.
  10. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
