We are seeking a Chemical Analyst to work for an international manufacturer based in Kent.

The salary will be in the region of GBP30,000 to GBP34,000 pa annum plus a 25% shift premium (GBP37,500-GBP42,500 total pay). There is a rotating early and late shift pattern: Early Shift: 6am - 2pm Mon to Fri. Late Shift: 2pm -10.30pm Mon- Thur & 2pm - 7.30pm on Fridays. 37.5 hours pw.

Purpose of the Role:
  1. This role is to control and maintain electroplating and metal finishing solution tanks to achieve the standards set out in the Company Policies, Procedures and Instructions.
  2. It includes achieving and following the standards as detailed above paying particular attention to Health, Safety and Welfare standards and Product Quality standards.
  3. The role includes the day to day working with various Chemicals and Solutions and the maintenance and recording of parameters associated with these.
  4. Routine chemical analysis of solutions/materials and problem solving.
Person Specification:
  1. Degree or HND in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry or related.
  2. Some experience/knowledge of industrial electroplating is preferred.
  3. Knowledge of COSHH and environmental permits.
  4. Methodical Approach to Process/Product Improvement and development.
