We are looking for energetic and organised individuals with a passion for service excellence to join our team as a Commis Chef on a Fixed Term Basis.

As a Commis Chef You Will
  • Be responsible for the preparation of food for all service areas per the standards indicated by the Head Chef.
  • Provide exceptional service by demonstrating full knowledge of our products and facilities.
  • Prepare food to an exceptional standard to surprise and delight customers by adhering to the standards set by the AA.
  • Ensure planning and preparation for service is completed in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver captivating experiences.
  • Assist the Head Chef in the promotion and management of the criteria for the AA Rosette Standards throughout all required areas.
  • Be conscious of the environment and consider organic, free range and local sustainable products wherever possible.
  • Ensure careful control of food stocks to preserve quality and minimise wastage.
Successful Commis Chef Have
  • Genuine interest in food and cooking.
  • Previous experience at Commis Chef level or internship in the kitchen is advantageous.
  • Previous experience within a similar hotel environment/previous experience within a busy kitchen environment.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • An ability to bring the guest experience to life throughout the hotel.
  • The ability to communicate and organize yourself in line with different guest expectations.
  • A good command of English is essential; a second language is advantageous.
