Accounts Payable Clerk (Permanent)

Location: Manchester
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum

About The Role:

Cobalt are working with a leading Property Management company based in Manchester, renowned for delivering exceptional services to our clients. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join their friendly, ambitious and motivated team.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of financial transactions within the company. Your expertise will be crucial in processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the timely payment of suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company where your contributions will directly support the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process and manage a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  2. Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
  3. Prepare and process payment runs in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain supplier accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  5. Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  6. Provide support with the preparation of management reports and assist with audits.
  7. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address queries and ensure smooth processing of payments.
  8. Continuously review and improve internal processes to drive efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
  1. Proven experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [specific software, e.g., Sage, Xero] is a plus).
  4. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  5. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  6. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
