We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Engineering Technician - Electronics. The information below provides more detail about the role.

Duties:
- To prepare materials and set up equipment for use in workshops.
- To assist in the ordering and stock control of consumable items and equipment.
- To give practical assistance to faculty staff and assist students in a supporting role when classes are in operation.
- To assist with the area's Health and Safety requirements which includes taking an active part in maintaining any applicable system (e.g. Risk Assessments, maintaining Risk Assessment Logs and updating COSHH forms).
- To assist in departmental administrative tasks which include cataloguing, filing, photocopying and labelling of resource materials.
- To maintain good housekeeping standards in the working areas, including tidying the work area and ensuring all equipment is satisfactorily maintained.
- To assist with the unloading of materials and equipment delivered to the College.
- To make occasional purchases and collect materials which are required for lessons.
- To support College Open events as required.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience in prioritising and organising workload, supporting a team.
- Understanding of safety requirements in a workshop and classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths.
- Relevant qualification in the area of expertise (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe).
Ideal Attributes:
- Ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative.
- The flexibility to constantly cope with new challenges and change.
- Demonstrable commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
