Role Overview

As a Junior Lawyer at G-20, you will be joining a dynamic legal team, supporting a wide range of legal matters related to trading, financial markets, and technology. You will gain valuable exposure to the fast-paced world of quantitative trading while advising on compliance, contracts, and legal risk management. This role is ideal for a lawyer eager to learn, grow, and be part of a rapidly expanding firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing legal support on regulatory matters, trading activities, and financial markets
  • Draft, review, and assist in negotiating contracts, including agreements with clients, service providers, and partners
  • Assist with compliance issues, including data protection, financial regulations, and trading laws
  • Support the legal team on corporate governance, intellectual property, and general legal risk management
  • Conduct legal research and provide summaries of relevant regulations and laws
  • Collaborate with other internal teams such as traders, developers, and compliance officers to offer legal advice and guidance
  • Help manage legal disputes and day-to-day legal matters affecting the business

Requirements

  • Law degree from a recognized institution (UK qualified preferred)
  • Up to 2 years of legal experience, preferably in financial services, trading, or technology
  • Strong interest in financial markets and quantitative trading
  • Basic knowledge of UK and European financial regulations, including trading law and data protection
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills in English
  • Strong analytical and research skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
