MS Dynamics 365 F&O Finance Consultant

The Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) business unit at KPMG is looking for a Dynamics 365 F&O Finance Consultant with experience across all phases of large-scale enterprise Dynamics 365 F&O projects. With a hands-on approach and solid understanding of finance processes and procedures combined with knowledge of interfacing and integration with Dynamics products.

A demonstrable history of consultancy experience is a must as this role will entail continuous interaction with clients and project teams working alongside both onshore and offshore development teams. This role will also require a level of presales activities focused around Dynamics F&O functionality and the wider Microsoft platform. You will also contribute to proposal development and provide input in business development whilst mentoring more junior staff.

This role is therefore key to KPMG Microsoft Business Solutions' customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. It is a dynamic and exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business area within an established and market-leading global Big 4 firm.

Responsibilities

  1. Involvement in full end-to-end implementations and all phases of project life cycle
  2. Involvement with D365FO interfaces and integrations
  3. Ability to gather and document functional requirements and complete gap/fit analysis
  4. Ability to produce solution design and integration design documents, alongside development teams.
  5. Demonstrate awareness of scope (creep) and use of change control
  6. Delivery of end-user training to clients and colleagues
  7. Provide on-site support and assistance throughout delivery and go-live phases of project
  8. Have awareness of product roadmap and the content of future releases of D365FO
  9. Involvement in responding to RFPs and RFQs
  10. Solves and advises on complex problems with creative solutions
  11. Awareness around upselling and understanding of additional company capabilities
  12. Promotes the Values of our company
  13. Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory training
  14. Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by Directors
  15. Represent KPMG MBS in a professional and positive manner at all times

Requirements

  1. Experience in consulting and very good presentation skills
  2. Ability to lead meetings and workshops, and confidently present to the C-Suite
  3. Minimum of 4 years Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance & Operations (D365FO) or AX2012 implementation experience including the following modules and areas:
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Cash and Bank Management
  • Budgeting
  • Project Management and Accounting
  • Fixed Assets
Financial Consolidation and elimination experienceExperience with electronic banking file and tax reporting needsKnowledge of Financial workflow and journal approvalMulti-legal entries experienceMulti-currency experienceExperience with (D365FO) interfaces and integrationsGood understanding of Accounting processes, principles, functionality & systemsMicrosoft Dynamics certification in Finance, ideally most current versionSolid Finance background (ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualified; qualified is desirable but not essential)Beneficial to have experience of LCS and Azure DevOpsGood MS Office skills (primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio is a plus)Understanding of Power Platform capabilities and Business Intelligence (BI) is preferred
