Bath, Bath and North East Somerset, United Kingdom University of Bath Full time

About The Role

The University of Bath's digital vision extends beyond technology deployment towards empowering, enabling, and connecting our people to drive positive organisational, societal, and environmental change. We are seeking two dynamic Technical Project Managers to join our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department. Each Project Manager will focus on a specific workstream within the Cloud Enabling and Agresso Re-platforming (CLEAR) programme, a high-impact initiative aimed at modernising the University's finance system and establishing a foundation for future cloud-based solutions.

Why This Role is Exciting: This is a unique opportunity to lead high-profile, complex projects that will shape the future of the University of Bath. You'll be at the forefront of a transformative initiative, working with cutting-edge technologies, managing diverse stakeholders, and driving meaningful change across the institution. If you thrive on challenge, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to make a lasting impact, these roles offer the perfect platform to do so.

Role Focus

Technical Project Manager - Identity Management Workstream: You will oversee the implementation and integration of the Sailpoint Identity Management System. This involves collaborating with diverse teams, providing technical guidance, developing project plans, identifying risks, leading change management, and presenting progress to the Project Board.

Technical Project Manager - Integration Workstream: You will manage the implementation and integration of the Mulesoft Integration Platform. This includes working with various teams to ensure seamless data exchange, providing technical oversight, developing project plans, managing stakeholder relationships, and reporting on progress to the Project Board.

Cloud Centre of Excellence: As part of the CLEAR programme, you will contribute to the development of an efficient cloud operating model within DDaT, with the required resources and skills to support cloud-hosted systems and sustainable organisational capabilities to assist future cloud migrations.

About You: Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects within a large organisation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Confidence in managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with identity management or data integration systems is desirable, although training can be provided.

Our team consists of over 150 professionals dedicated to building the University's digital foundations. This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and hybrid working is available.
