SALARY: £44,000 per annum

Role Overview And Purpose

Electrically biased trades person based on site undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, and building fabric.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Manager, including fault finding, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
  2. Duties will also include carrying out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
  3. To close/update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system.
  4. Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
  5. To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  6. Ensure Company & Site Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  7. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  8. To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required by management.
  9. Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high levels, working from platforms and ladders.
  10. Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  11. To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
  12. Complete any other associated tasks requested by management, including security-related tasks such as assisting with searches of the premises.
Required Skills And Experience

  1. Must have DBS Clearance.
  2. City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE.
  3. Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  4. A demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
  5. Customer service skills.
  6. Smart appearance, presentable.
  7. Logical thinker in fault finding situations.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Comfortable working within a team environment, able to contribute to group success while following instructions of others.
  11. Able to work unsupervised.
  12. Self-motivated with an ability to self-generate reactive tasks.
  13. Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.
  14. Customer focused.
  15. Willing to volunteer help.
Desirable

IPAF, PASMA, knowledge and use of computer software Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems, HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience.
