Business Development Director

Location: Liverpool

Basic salary of up to £85,000 (DOE). Commission potential of 100% of salary on top Mobile phone and laptop. Pension scheme. 25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the ability to purchase more). Life insurance.

With over 20 years of experience, this company is part of a rapidly expanding group that specializes in facilities management, surveys and consultancy for commercial buildings throughout the UK. Backed by a major group in the facilities management sector, they offer a stable, dynamic, and supportive work environment.

The Role:

A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Director to join a rapidly growing company within the computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) industry. This role will primarily be office-based in Liverpool, with the expectation of flexible home working as well as face to face customer contact where necessary. You will be leading a team of SDR's and BDM's who are selling a SaaS solution which is computer-aided facilities management solutions aimed at commercial premises or public sector buildings who have complex, multi-location, estates which require a central management. These services include reactive helpdesks, dashboards, asset management, planned preventative maintenance, document management, and mobile working solutions, all of which are required for building owners due to regulatory requirements and massively support them in mitigating risk and improving efficiencies.

In this role, you will be coaching, developing, and driving behaviors with the teams with a keen eye on KPI's and reporting. You will also be engaging with key decision-makers such as Estates Managers, Directors, and Health & Safety professionals across both public and private sector organisations. This is not a 360 sales role. The Business Development Director and their team will be responsible for driving new relationships with prospective clients. You will be strategic in planning and identifying the correct customer profiles and approaches to the new business development. You will utilise a multi-channel approach to identify and engage customers, with typical sales cycles lasting between 6-12 months, though larger projects may span several years. All new business wins are then passed to a team of 'Consultants' who will take the process through to completion in which the Business Development Managers and SDR's will be very well renumerated.

Requirements:

  • A background in selling into real estate, facilities management, land & property, or developers.
  • Experience in selling to decision-makers in the risk management or facilities management sector.
  • A SaaS sales background would be hugely beneficial.
  • Sales leadership experience – managing internal and external sales professionals.
  • Outgoing, confident, and wanting to be in front of people face to face at events.
  • A proactive, consultative sales approach.
