Data Insights Analyst – (Business Analysis, Intelligence, and Insights)

An excellent opportunity has arisen with an award-winning social enterprise for a Data Insights Analyst / Business Analyst to provide expert analysis and reporting to support their business decision-making. You will be responsible for accessing and analysing data, presenting it in formats and with narratives that make it meaningful and generate insights into business performance, trends, and opportunities.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate business processes, and analyse data, engaging stakeholders effectively to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions that align with business objectives.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and Analysis: Create monthly Management Information Report, conduct in-depth data analysis to monitor business performance, identify trends, and make data driven recommendations.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, stakeholders, and project teams to understand business needs. Support the Sales Team with data analysis for new tenders and customer specific activities.
  • Market and Impact Evaluation: Provide market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for service improvement and business growth. Analyse and evaluate social value and impact, translating findings into sales and partnership opportunities.
  • Strategic Support and Research: Undertake desk research using sector and business data to support strategic planning. Contribute to business plans and strategy development.
  • Process Improvement: Analyse and document existing processes and workflows, identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or a related field (or relevant research, data, and analysis experience).
  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of business processes and system analysis.
  • Sound analytical background with an aptitude for logical analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Good understanding of data analysis methodologies and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, PowerBI, or similar.
  • High proficiency in core Microsoft Office software.
