Job Description:Join our dynamic team at Flowdesk as a Quantitative Researcher EMEA, where you will have the opportunity to lead innovative research initiatives in the fast-evolving world of cryptocurrencies. You will leverage advanced quantitative techniques to develop and refine trading strategies that enhance profit potential and mitigate risk.
Your role and responsibilities
- Develop and implement quantitative models and algorithms to identify trading signals, optimize strategies, and enhance profitability.
- Conduct thorough research on market trends, trading behaviors, and financial instruments using a variety of quantitative methods and data analysis techniques.
- Build and maintain robust backtesting frameworks to evaluate the performance of developed models accurately.
- Collaborate with traders, developers, and data scientists to integrate research outputs into trading operations effectively.
- Present research findings and performance analyses to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of complex concepts.
Requirements
Background and experience
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Finance.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in quantitative research or algorithmic trading, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, Numpy, etc.).
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in strategy development.
- Knowledge of crypto markets and digital assets is a significant advantage.
Skills and personality
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive, curious, and independent, with a strong desire to learn and innovate.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
