Piercy&Company is seeking a mid-weight designer/interior architect to join its team in London.

We are looking for a talented and experienced mid-weight designer or interior architect with a workplace focus to join the interiors studio at Piercy&Co.

The interdisciplinary interiors studio is the furniture, interiors and design strategy node within the practice. We are a small but growing team closely connected with the wider studio, and are looking for talented individuals to join us to take on some of the exciting opportunities on our horizon. Ranging from bespoke objects to large scale interiors and big picture thought-pieces, we want to explore the role of design in the wider context of culture and human experience, and build Piercy&Co's long-standing focus on materiality, sustainability, making and human-scale detail.

About you

We are looking to hire a versatile interior designer or interior architect with strong workplace experience. As a small team, there is scope to evolve within the role and grow to have a key voice within the team.

The ideal candidate would bring with them most of the following skills and qualifications:
  • Outstanding conceptual, design and visual communication skills, as well as an excellent eye for details.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of pitches and design competitions.
  • Four to five years' plus of post-bachelor experience.
  • Proven working knowledge of new build interior and retrofit projects from concept through to completion, including FF&E procurement, materials, finishes, detailing and scheduling; with a strong focus in workspaces.
  • Experience working with clients in space budgeting and space planning.
  • Great people skills, able to manage more junior team members and maintain excellent client and consultant relationships.
  • On-site experience.
  • Familiarity with current UK regulations, codes, BSA and best practice.
  • A passion for pushing forward a sustainability agenda within interior projects.
  • Experience in joinery packages and bespoke furniture design would be of advantage.
  • Skill in the use of a range of creative and CAD programmes including Revit, Rhino and Enscape.
  • An open mind and keen interest in design and the world around you.
  • Most of all, we are looking for someone with passion and creativity, and who could become a strong voice in our team.
About Piercy&Company

We are a studio of architects, interior designers and researchers, fueled by a shared passion for materials, form, technology and craft. We believe that, at its best, architecture can provoke memories, shape experiences and prompt change. Across scales and typologies we follow the principle that intensive thought and problem-solving at the design input stage leads to an intensity of effect for users and the public at the built output stage.

We are based out of a studio and workshop in London where interdisciplinary teams work together in a collaborative 'design house' model. The studio is a place for exchange, active production and the testing of ideas, forms and materials.

In 2022, Piercy&Company became an employee owned trust, solidifying our approach as a design house and amplifying our collaborative endeavours.

Competitive salaries are offered along with excellent benefits. Remuneration is dependent upon experience.

We annually benchmark salaries across the studio based upon the D3 Group's Architecture Industry Survey, which provides insights from approximately 100 design and architecture practices.
