We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Health & Safety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This hands-on position requires a team player who can work closely with every department on daily operations, promote a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business, actively implement and monitor Health & Safety systems and provide support and training to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and policies
  2. Coordinate and monitor safe working systems and processes
  3. Promote a positive health & safety culture
  4. Perform safety inspections and risk assessments of facilities and equipment
  5. Deliver training sessions to ensure all employees carry out their job safely
  6. Ensure that data with regards to Health & Safety performance is captured and analysed
  7. Provide support and guidance on Health & Safety matters
  8. Investigate accidents, identify root causes and prepare remedial plans
  9. Manage relationship with insurance providers
  10. Ensure PPE is provided and used
  11. Ensure First Aiders and Fire Marshalls are trained and carry out evacuation and fire drills
  12. Oversee all aspects of building and warehouse functions and guarantee the safety and functionality of facilities (eg: safety inspections, managing contractors, maintaining records, etc)

Qualifications and experience

  1. Degree or level 6 diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Environmental Health (desirable)
  2. Relevant qualification: NEBOSH, IOSH or City & Guilds NVQ
  3. 2 years of experience in Health & Safety
  4. Good communication skills
  5. Interpersonal skills
  6. Problem-solving skills
  7. Analytical
  8. Data-focused
