Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support: Play a vital role in executing strategic projects throughout the club, collaborating with influential leaders and experts.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Promote a unified approach across various departments, ensuring smooth communication and teamwork.
  • Innovation & Growth Analysis: Drive innovative initiatives by researching and analysing new business models and services that support sustainable growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to existing processes, boosting efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Market & Data Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, competitor benchmarking, and data analytics to uncover trends, assess risks, and identify new opportunities.
  • Reporting & Insights: Develop and maintain strategic reporting frameworks across financial and non-financial metrics, liaising with marketing, fan experience, finance, operations, and commercial teams.

What We're Looking for in You?

  • Extensive experience in a strategic role.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sports Management, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
  • In-office attendance is required minimum 3 days per week at our Birmingham office.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong financial acumen with the capability to craft complex business cases.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience in customer experience analysis and journey mapping.
  • Exceptional strategic report writing and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence C-level executives.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and projects in dynamic environments.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Experience in a strategy role within MBB, Big 4, consulting, or sports industry management.
  • Familiarity with sports marketing, sponsorship, and media rights negotiations.
