Global Immigration Specialist - Quantitative & Systematic Hedge Fund

Base pay range

Salary: Up to £100,000 + Bonus (depending on experience)

Location: London

Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)

We are hiring an Immigration Specialist to join their London HR team. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to lead immigration strategy and delivery across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with HR colleagues and external partners, you will play a key role in enabling seamless international mobility and ensuring compliance across a complex, global footprint.

About the Role:

As Immigration Specialist, you will act as the go-to expert for immigration matters, owning end-to-end processes and advising on policy to support the movement of top talent across borders. This is a strategic and hands-on role, suited to someone with deep expertise in UK and international immigration, and a proactive, solutions-led mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of immigration cases, including visa applications, renewals, and sponsor licence compliance.
  • Provide expert advice on immigration strategy, ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and global mobility colleagues to support international relocations, secondments, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with external providers to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of immigration services.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain accurate records across systems including Workday.
  • Lead process improvements and support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Deliver immigration briefings and documentation to candidates and transferees.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of global mobility policies and practices.

About You:

  • Proven experience in managing UK and international immigration matters, including the Middle East and key global markets.
  • In-depth understanding of immigration law and global mobility best practices.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Experience working with modern HRIS platforms and ticketing tools.
  • Clear and confident communication style, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift quickly.
  • A collaborative team player with a global mindset and commitment to service excellence.
  • Financial services or tech industry experience
