Turner Lovell is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join a global cable manufacturer that supplies HV cables for the energy transition, HVDC, and electricity transmission sectors. Our client has rapidly grown from a €100M business to a multibillion-euro business in just 5 years, offering you the chance to become a key part of their team and play a pivotal role in one of their fastest-growing markets.
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of the company's projects by meticulously managing scheduling and resource allocation. Your work will directly impact the success of high-profile projects and help lay the groundwork for how our clients approach planning for years to come.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with milestones and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure efficient project execution and timely delivery of high-profile projects.
- Facilitate regular communication between project teams to maintain alignment and proactively address issues.
- Lead initiatives to improve planning processes by incorporating best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
Ideal Background:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling in the transmission & distribution and grid sectors. (National Grid exposure is preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and delays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong technical report writing skills.
- Familiarity with project management best practices and methodologies is a plus.
