Job Description

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and perform both electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, as well as planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of automated machinery. This includes wrappers, pallet conveyors, packaging machinery, pallet stacker cranes, autostore systems, and robots. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of automated systems, contributing to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance: Perform both electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, including wrappers, pallet conveyors, packaging machinery, pallet stacker cranes, autostore systems, and robots.
  2. Scheduled Repairs: Undertake repairs in line with manufacturers' recommendations and industry-standard practices, ensuring systems are restored to full functionality as quickly as possible.
  3. Fault Prioritization: Effectively prioritize and address system faults, minimizing downtime and ensuring high-quality output.
  4. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of output is maintained at all times, troubleshooting issues to ensure operational standards are consistently met.
  5. Accurate Record-Keeping: Accurately document all work carried out, including breakdowns, repairs, parts replaced, and any other relevant information.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for enhancing system reliability, performance, and efficiency.
  7. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant Health & Safety regulations at all times, ensuring safe working practices, particularly when working at heights.
Qualifications:
  1. NVQ LVL 3 in a field of engineering
  2. Experience within an automated environment
  3. Understanding of PLC systems
