My client, an extremely fast-growing, PE-backed, UK wide business, are looking to hire a technically strong Head of Financial Reporting to join their stunning offices in South Manchester (hybrid working). This is the perfect role for any Big 4 trained, ACA qualified, technically strong finance leaders, looking for a new and exciting challenge with the potential of an IPO in the near future.

Due to continued acquisition and expansion, there is a need for a technically strong, ACA qualified Head of Financial Reporting to come in and take ownership of the reporting and consolidation process. This is a truly unique opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting growth stories in the North West, with huge opportunity for progression and development.

The Head of Financial Reporting will lead a significant size team, so previous managerial experience of qualified accountants is vital.

The successful candidate will be part of a friendly, inclusive, and supportive team that values trust, transparency, and accountability. The company is committed to delivering a quality experience for its customers through a technology-driven market-leading operating platform.

What you'll do:
  • Oversee the preparation of interim and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Ensure cyclical reporting processes are produced accurately and on time
  • Manage head office company, G&A spend and transfer pricing
  • Collaborate with various teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making processes
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four finance managers
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures
What you bring:
  • Qualified ACA accountant with strong technical financial reporting skills under IFRS
  • At least five years' post-qualification experience in a PLC environment
  • Strong controls mindset and background
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of qualified accountants
  • Good understanding of tax, treasury, and consolidation systems
  • Ability to handle audits to tight timescales
