The organisation has a modernised commercial and events offering grounded in social impact and storytelling, harnessing the spotlight and inspiration from our athletes' performances on the world stage and our growing portfolio of major events, including Lloyds Tour of Britain Women and Lloyds Tour of Britain Men, which are the biggest free to watch sporting events in Britain, bringing with them £33.3 million of direct economic impact, spreading the joy of cycling and creating positive social impact through communities across the country.
About you

In this role, you'll lead exciting projects working closely with internal and external partners to create unforgettable experiences. What will you be doing?
- Ensure the successful co-ordination and staging of all special projects and events maintaining a consistent, professional, first-class service at all times.
- Plan and deliver functions, meetings, and other events with official partners and stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver VIP guest and hospitality experiences at British Cycling major events.
- Produce a detailed project plan and budget sheet for each project/event and be responsible for delivering the project according to the project plan and budget.
- Provide effective leadership to colleagues on any duties in relation to project management.
- Lead pre and post-event briefings and follow up on any action points with the appropriate internal and external stakeholders including ROI measurement and attendee feedback.
- Maintain good interdepartmental communications between all colleagues to ensure events are organised efficiently and effectively, and required standards of service are maintained.
- Source and manage external vendors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and oversee event logistics including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, and transportation.
- Be the main point of contact for all British Cycling and partner guests when attending the events.
- Assist in the coordination of the British Cycling Business Clubs, arranging all logistical aspects and producing supporting documentation.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, best practices, and innovations in corporate event management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of processes/procedures to increase overall efficiency through the development of a playbook.
- Assume other duties as required by the Strategy and Operations Director.
- Provide support or lead on specific additional projects as required.
- Actively contribute to British Cycling values.
