1050 Architects is seeking a project architect or architect to join its team in London.

1050 Architects is a dynamic, small but growing practice based in central London, who is seeking either a talented Project Architect who has experience in project running or an Architect with good levels of experience looking to take the next step up in their career.

We have a diverse range of projects including offices / commercial, multi-unit developer lead residential, student accommodation and similar but are hiring to help us with a hospitality project in the first instance. We strive to create a workplace that you can develop and learn in but also a fun and enjoyable place to work.

Role responsibilities:
  • Assisting the directors on a variety of projects, giving you a broad range of experience
  • Progressing to take on more responsibilities within a creative and technically focused practice
  • Project running and day-to-day team management
You will gain experience across all RIBA work stages, including:
  • Planning applications
  • Detailed design and tender
  • Construction including site visits and inspections

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run projects.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years' post-Part 3 UK experience in practice
  • Project running experience, either directly or indirectly under the guidance of others
  • A strong design portfolio with excellent technical detailing skills
  • Strong hand-drawing and sketching abilities
  • A proactive team player, able to work independently and manage tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and SketchUp
  • Some visualisation and rendering skills but able to manage others doing this
Additional Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Flexibility to work remotely, but preference for candidates able to work from our London office most days
