An opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to join an exciting manufacturing organisation.

We are looking for 2 Quality Inspectors to join our highly talented and skilled team and to be part of our exciting growth journey. Working as part of the inspection team, you will be a trusted partner responsible for ensuring that all manufactured products in the fabrication and welding area fully conform to customer requirements, whilst maintaining the company's focus on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

You will be driven to go above and beyond in your role. In return, we will also go above and beyond for you, with excellent training, support, development, and opportunities to progress in line with personal and business requirements. You will feel empowered to achieve.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection of fabricated & welded components – Dimensionally, Visual & NDT to ensure the correct quality
  2. Calibration and validate monitoring and measuring equipment prior to use
  3. Liaise with the engineering team to clarify inspection and testing requirements
  4. Liaise with goods inward for the inspection of raw materials, components, and associated certification
  5. Support the production team with in-process inspection and testing of components for manufacture
  6. Maintain product traceability and compliance to required standards
  7. Quarantine and identify non-conforming parts to ensure all product non-conformances are accurately reported
  8. Support problem-solving activities and investigations where product or process non-conformance has been identified
  9. Contribute to quality-led improvement initiatives and support quality performance

Essential skills and experience for this role are as follows:

  1. Relevant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  2. Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  3. Competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as tapes, rules, and squares
  4. Ability to write clear and concise inspection reports and work with both metric and imperial units
  5. CSWIP 3.0 certified (CSWIP 3.1 desirable)
  6. PCN Level 2 MPI
  7. PCN Level 2 Dye Pen

Disposition (Required critical behaviours):

  1. Good written and verbal communication skills
  2. Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality at all times
  3. Self-motivated and confident when taking responsibility for all areas of work
  4. Visible Quality Control values
  5. Flexibility to work night shift and overtime as required to support business needs
  6. Drive for improvement

This will be a day shift role Monday to Friday with occasional opportunities to work night shifts at higher rates of pay.
