Graduate Controls Engineer

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Location: Worcestershire

Our Client are market leaders in the food handling industry supplying equipment to blue chip customers across the world. Using the latest design technology they're focused on providing creative and cost-effective solutions for their customers. An opportunity has now arisen for a Graduate Controls Engineer to join their team.

As a Graduate Controls Engineer, you should be calm, logical and have a methodical approach to problem solving.

Your role will include:

  1. Working closely with the technical team
  2. Modifying and creating wiring diagrams using AutoCAD/EPLAN
  3. Working with the design team to create electronic back plate drawings
  4. Preparing Bills of Materials
  5. Modifying existing PLC & HMI programs
  6. Producing user manuals
  7. Generating documentation packages for our customers
  8. Attention to detail is essential due to short manufacturing lead times
  9. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
  10. Enjoying working in a fast-paced exciting environment
  11. Performing other duties as assigned

Experience in the following areas will be a distinct advantage:

  1. Strong IT skills and confidence - MS Office and Excel, with database skills/usage an advantage
  2. Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams
  3. Pneumatic circuits
