The Project

As a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager, you will play a key role as part of the senior management team, overseeing the electrical packages on the upgrades of various rail depots. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  1. SMSTS
  2. First Aid
  3. Valid CSCS / JIB / ECS Card
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  1. Proven experience managing electrical packages on rail projects
  2. Minimum of three years in an Electrical Project Manager or equivalent role for a reputable contractor or subcontractor

  5. Knowledgeable of construction laws and regulations
  6. Solid understanding of contract terms and conditions

  9. A proficient understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques
  10. Proficient in project management software, industry-specific tools, and relevant technical expertise
The Role

Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Project: Various upgrades to rail depots
Location: York, North Yorkshire
Reporting to: Managing Director

Duties

  1. Client Management
  2. Conduction of audits
  3. Oversee daily electrical operations
  4. Offer specialised electrical expertise
  5. Direct liaison with other subcontractors
  6. Resolve challenges that could affect project timelines
  7. Conduct thorough project assessments and analyses
  8. Monitor project spending to maintain budget alignment
  9. Oversee and coordinate electrical works on multiple jobs
  10. Maintain and enforce health and safety standards on-site
  11. Working closely and directly reporting to Managing Director
  12. Work closely with head office to appoint quality subcontractors
  13. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimise them
  14. Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to the schedule
  15. Respond to client concerns and issues swiftly and professionally
  16. Identify and allocate necessary resources, including staff, equipment, and materials
  17. Collaborate with procurement to ensure the on-time delivery of materials and equipment
  18. Provide regular project updates and progress reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders
  19. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  20. Set and maintain quality control standards to ensure project deliverables meet the defined requirements
  21. Ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports
