PK-UK Events is a high-end technical production company that supplies sound, lighting, video, and power solutions to live events around the country. We pride ourselves on being big enough to service large-scale events but also provide a high level of care and detail to every show we supply. As the company expands, we are in search of an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our small but dedicated team.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Project Manager, primarily located in our Portsmouth office but also on-site during events. This Senior Project Manager role is focused around technical production management of new and existing projects, from concept to completion, ensuring excellence all the way through for clients and key stakeholders. This will involve being on-site for event delivery and onsite management of our in-house and freelancer teams.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the delivery of multiple events, often at the same time, from concept to delivery.
  2. Lead existing onsite teams and support where necessary, ensuring coordination between different departments within the business to ensure successful event delivery.
  3. Manage project budgets and ensure delivery within set budget.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders within a project.
  5. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop contingency strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  6. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times.
  7. Be prepared to provide out-of-hours support as and when required.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  9. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing freelancers, trade suppliers, and venues.
  10. Work closely with the Warehouse Team, Operations Manager, and Managing Director to assist in continuously improving operational efficiency and quality of work.

Skills and Qualities Required

  1. Extensive experience in technical live production management.
  2. Proven track record of managing complex projects and large-scale events.
  3. Advanced knowledge of live sound, lighting, video, and temporary power systems.
  4. Ability to multitask and prioritise in a demanding workload environment.
  5. Solutions-focused, with a highly proactive approach to overcoming problems.
  6. Excellent organisational abilities.
  7. Strong communication and leadership skills.
  8. Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Ability to handle high-pressure scenarios on high-profile event sites.
  10. Highly motivated with a passion for delivering absolute excellence essential.
  11. Relevant industry qualifications advantageous.
  12. Full UK driving licence.

Salary and Benefits:

Basic Salary between £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience, overtime payments for out-of-hours working, contributions towards further development and training, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, Company Pension Scheme.
