About the Role

This is an Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer vacancy with a small, friendly mechatronics engineering design manufacturing business offering unique products. As an Electrical and Electronics Design Engineer, you will work in a team, contributing to electrical design and electronics engineering design, and collaborating on ideas and drawings with colleagues in engineering and manufacturing.

Products include mechatronic assemblies, electrical layouts, and electronics systems for special purpose equipment. This role focuses on the design aspects of electrical and electronic systems in engineering designs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop electrical and electronic designs, capturing electrical layout and schematics into CAD.
  2. Work on low volume projects, ensuring variety in tasks.
  3. Participate in weekly project review meetings.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a team player who supports the wider design process. You should have:

  1. Experience as an electronics design engineer, electrical design engineer, or mechatronics design engineer.
  2. Qualifications such as HND, Time Served Engineer, BTEC Level 4, HNC, or a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software to understand and create engineering drawings and schematics.
  4. Proven ability to select, design, and test the functionality of electrical and electronic systems through calculations and simulations.
