This post offers a great opportunity for an experienced and strategically minded Clinical Research Manager/ Matron to lead and manage on the transition of research from the current Principal Treatment Centre at the Royal Marsden and St George's to Evelina London.

The post holder will be responsible for the transfer of research studies and clinical trial activity – including ensuring that transition process enables the PTC research team and the existing Evelina London research portfolio to maintain research delivery to time and target for both commercial and non-commercial studies. The post holder will also establish processes to support the transfer of the PTC research delivery team, ensuring adequate support is provided to investigators and their teams.

The Research Transition Manager will be responsible for leading the transition of research and clinical trial services from the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust to Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. In this pivotal role in the Children's Cancer Programme, the post holder, alongside research leads, will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of all phases of the research transition process. The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with researchers, clinical staff, administrative teams, and external partners to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing research projects. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive transition plans, managing timelines, and ensuring compliance with research protocols throughout the transition.

• Educated to Masters level or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
• Formal qualification in project management (PRINCE 2) or equivalent
• Evidence of continuing professional development

• Experience of dealing positively with organisational politics
• Proven strategic leadership skills and successful management experience
• Proven track record in the delivery of operational and strategic business plans
• Significant experience of clinical research management, including experience in the planning, coordination and conducting of clinical research studies
• Experience of programme development and subsequent implementation

• Significant influencing and persuasion skills
• Able to take the lead and facilitate new initiatives/change
• A good understanding of the research arena and its changing environment
• Ability to think and plan strategically and to prioritise work programmes in the face of competing demands
• Excellent numerical, verbal and critical reasoning
