Responsibilities

While the specific responsibilities of an Analyst will vary based on their placement, here are some examples of tasks and projects managed by our previous analysts:

  • Client Advisory and Analysis: Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analyses of clients' financial exposures, including interest rates, foreign exchange, and commodities. Provide advice on risk management strategies and assist clients in integrating their financial portfolios into our technology systems.
  • Trade Structuring and Execution: Learn and apply financial hedging mechanics, structure and model transactions, and execute trades. Support deal managers in structuring, pricing, and executing transactions. Develop and maintain automated reports for financial portfolios.
  • Operational Coordination and Management: Ensure smooth coordination of regulatory processes, manage trade documentation, and oversee transaction operations. Track financial covenants, organize contracts, and support consulting engagements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Review and prepare necessary documentation, term sheets, and transaction details. Assist in the preparation of deliverables and create presentation materials with analysis and market data.
  • Market Research and Client Support: Conduct market research, prepare client presentations, and assist with research and reporting. Communicate key issues related to trades and transactions to internal teams and clients.

We seek individuals who are natural leaders, have a desire and ability to learn quickly, and align to our core values. While no specific professional experience or certifications are required, we look for candidates who display the following competencies:

  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex subject matter effectively, prioritize findings, engage with clients, and deliver effective communication through various formats (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, phone, in-person meetings, email, and spreadsheets).
  • Collaboration: Ability to share information internally, seek out knowledge, partner with stakeholders, and work cohesively across teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize demands, align resources with project deliverables, and communicate progress and expectations.
  • Service Orientation: Innate desire to help others and provide excellent service.
  • Quantitative Skills: Ability to work with large sets of data with a high attention to detail. Experience with statistical analysis and financial modeling is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with additional tools or languages (e.g., Python, SQL) is a plus. Ability to learn new tools and technologies as required.
  • Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, proficient in French and German; however, this is not a mandatory requirement.

Candidates must be a recent college graduate with a BA/BS degree in a relevant field such as finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or computer science.

Analyst programme starts July 7th, 2025.

This role offers recent graduates a comprehensive learning experience, providing a solid foundation for a career in financial advisory and capital markets through a blend of structured learning paths and hands-on mentorship.

Our Analysts attend Chatham's New Hire Academy, which provides them with early exposure to senior leaders and SMEs throughout the organization, focusing on improving their speed to proficiency by developing the knowledge, skills, and relationships needed to be successful.
