The Role

As an Electronics Engineer, you'll be at the core of designing and developing advanced electronic systems for cutting-edge scientific instruments. You'll work across the full product lifecycle, designing analogue, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, creating PCB layouts, and ensuring the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Circuit Design & Development – Design and develop analogue, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, including low-noise, high-precision applications.
  2. PCB Layout & Prototyping – Create multilayer PCB designs, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturing.
  3. Testing & Fault-Finding – Assemble and test electronic prototypes, perform rigorous functional, environmental, and reliability tests, and troubleshoot as needed.
  4. Sensor & Transducer Integration – Work with ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, USB, Bluetooth, and TCP/IP to interface analogue and digital circuits with measurement systems.
  5. EMC & Compliance – Ensure designs meet CE, EMC, and Low Voltage Directive standards, applying best practices for electromagnetic compatibility.
  6. Technical Documentation – Maintain detailed design specifications, test reports, and production guidelines to support development and manufacturing.
Nice to Have (But Not Essential)
  1. Experience with STM32-based microcontrollers and embedded C/C++ (IAR IDE, Python).
  2. Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems for managing design and production workflows.
What You'll Need
  1. Degree in Electronics Engineering (or related field) – Bachelor's or Master's.
  2. 1-5 years' experience in electronics design & development.
  3. Hands-on experience with PCB design, circuit analysis, and electronic testing.
  4. Strong fault-finding and debugging skills in a lab environment.
  5. Knowledge of regulatory compliance (EMC, CE, Low Voltage Directive).
  6. Passion for solving complex engineering challenges and working on cutting-edge instrumentation.
