Our client is a Construction and Engineering contractor who, due to new project awards and headcount growth, require a Project Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

The projects are small to medium size in scale ranging from £100K to £1.5m, consisting of refurbishment and upgrades to existing buildings. All the projects are building construction and building fabric biased.

They are seeking a Project Manager who ideally has come from a trades background and progressed into Project Management, delivering building fabric and construction projects up to £2million.

You will be responsible for:

  1. The successful delivery of projects and handover to the client
  2. On-site client management and development
  3. Project programming
  4. Financial control and reporting
  5. Managing subcontractors
  6. Monitoring project progress and ensuring works are completed to time, budget, and standard
  7. Health and safety on site

Ideally, you will have a building/construction trade qualification and relevant Project Management accreditations as a minimum. Projects are predominantly based in the Portsmouth and surrounding area; therefore, location within one hour commute is ideal.

My client is a forward-thinking contractor that offers an array of company benefits while supporting ongoing personal and career development. For this reason, they are seeking a Project Manager on a permanent basis and not freelance or temporary contract.
