About the role

We are looking for an experienced First Aid Trainer with operational Health & Safety (H&S) experience to join our team. This role supports all Council services in reducing H&S risks and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Assist in business continuity planning and ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
  • Provide competent H&S advice to Council employees and other affected individuals.
  • Assist in producing quarterly H&S reports using the Council’s H&S software (Assure) and provide analysis.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • Experienced First Aid Trainer with hands-on H&S experience.
  • Knowledge of H&S policies and procedures; local government experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills (written and verbal).
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with H&S software is beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role.

For an informal discussion, please contact James Wright, Health & Safety Manager, at jwright1@hillingdon.gov.uk.
