Apollo Capital Solutions (ACS) leverages the intellectual capital, industry expertise, and global network across Apollo's integrated platform to deliver the full capabilities of Apollo across Debt & Equity Capital Markets and Syndication workstreams. Within ACS, Private Equity Capital Markets, our own in-house financing arm and a registered broker dealer, plays a significant role in the structuring and financing of the firm's investments across Private Equity, Infrastructure, Impact and Climate Transition pocket of capital, among others, working with the investment deal teams and investor clients, as well as various functional areas within and across the firm.

ACS is seeking a talented leveraged finance / capital markets specialist to join the growing platform. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience and insight into a broad range of capital markets activities.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Partner with Apollo deal team/industry vertical professionals to determine, recommend, secure and execute optimum capital structures for each new investment and/or current portfolio company financing.
  2. Develop timely insight into markets backdrop, including what forces are driving the markets, types of lenders in the markets, debt instruments available, etc.
  3. Attend pipeline discussions and investment committee meetings to provide capital markets view on market, deal execution and relationships.
  4. Help develop infrastructure for the team's day to day activities and professionalise process and information tracking.
  5. Maintain relationships with Capital Markets desks and Sponsor Coverage bankers at each bank.
  6. Maintain relationships with large, institutional debt investors to encourage direct dialogue, alternative sources of financing and partnership opportunities.
  7. Help manage various initiatives conducted by the broker-dealer.
  8. Lead internal approval processes for any broker-dealer transaction.
  9. Partner with investment professionals across Apollo to help originate transactions for other pockets of the firm through, as well as through our broker dealer/balance sheet.
Qualifications & Experience
  1. Experience in Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, and/or relevant buyside experience.
  2. Proven track record of academic and professional success and achievement.
  3. Entrepreneurial, business-building mindset with strong relationship-building mentality.
  4. Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Thorough understanding of financial and credit analysis, valuation and primary fundamental research and their application in investment decisions and transaction structuring.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong understanding of credit market dynamics (fundamentals, valuation, etc.) and financing execution process in lead left capacity.
  8. Team player with a willingness and ability to work across products or geographic lines.
  9. High level of motivation and strong attention to detail.
  10. Ability to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
