Senior Project Manager

Are you someone who loves delighting clients, putting them first by making plans for delivery, inspiring teams to successfully make it happen, and adapting to change? Are you a Leader? If that's you, then we are waiting for you to join our engineering Project Management team.
Our Team within the nuclear business specialises in taking on some of the most significant engineering projects in the sector. Our fast growing business focuses on providing engineering services to a client base that is at the forefront of Power Engineering.
The Project Management opportunities we have are varied in size and therefore responsibility levels. From delivering our consultancy engineering, design and project management services, to being embedded within the client organisation, the range of opportunities is vast. We are looking for Senior Project Managers, part time or full time.
Your purpose:
As an AtkinsRéalis Project Manager, you will be working closely with our clients to accurately capture project requirements and develop plans. You will proactively manage all aspects of project delivery, including forecasting, control, change management, risk management, and reporting on project progress. You will support the development, implementation, and sharing of best practices for project management. You will support our operational management through project financial planning and reporting, resourcing, and management of cash flow within projects.
Although you will be based at one of our offices (Key hubs in Glasgow, Suffolk, Bristol, Sheffield, and Manchester), at AtkinsRéalis we actively support hybrid working, prioritising our clients' needs, but splitting time between client, your AtkinsRéalis home office, and home.
What can you bring:
- If you enjoy thinking ahead, anticipating and preventing project problems before they happen, and are exceptionally well-organised in everything you do, then we'd love to hear from you.
- An enjoyment building rapport and relationships with others, being confident enough to procure and grow business. You'll love to lead, motivate, and inspire your team to make things happen. Astute at managing commercial risks, agreeing on the best way forward, and enjoying finding solutions. Focused on the small things that others easily miss, ensuring contract documents, such as offers and variations, are clear, concise, and without ambiguity.
- It is beneficial, but not essential, for you to hold an Engineering degree and/or a Project Management qualification.
Why work for AtkinsRéalis?
The UK is the first major economy to legislate for a Net Zero target by 2050. To achieve this, our Energy Teams are ensuring a mix of secure and sustainable energy sources that can meet our industry and lifestyle demands today and in 30 years' time. We help to power our world through exciting new technologies and intelligent cybersecurity systems on projects that vary greatly in size, scope, and scale. So, you'll be creating the right safe and resilient systems across nuclear power, renewables, decarbonisation development, new builds, and energy efficiency.
We value your diversity and believe that everyone deserves to thrive – no exceptions. You'll be part of a culture committed to finding new talent from underrepresented groups. We're Disability Confident, an Inclusive Employer, and support STEM Returners. We also want to see more women in senior roles at AtkinsRéalis. In the energy sector, we've signed up to the AXIS Pledge, promising to make equal pay, equal leadership, and equal opportunities a reality.
Security clearance:
This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer. If applying to this role, please do not make reference to (in conversation) or include in your application or CV, details of any current or previously held security clearance.
We are committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves, thrive and develop. To help embed inclusion for all, from day one, we offer a range of family-friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, and employee networks to support staff from different backgrounds. As an Equal Opportunities Employer, we value applications from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
