As an Own Brand Sourcing Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building supplier partnerships that not only unlock cost efficiencies but also enable access to cutting-edge innovation, ensuring our global supply base thrives in an environment of up-regulation and rising consumer expectations.

In this role, you'll drive transformation by developing strategic sourcing plans, implementing comprehensive cost models, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers across the globe. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure the delivery of high-performing, sustainable, and ethical sourcing practices while helping us achieve ambitious growth goals.

If you're ready to lead change, tackle challenges, and shape the future of sourcing in a fast-paced and evolving environment, we want to hear from you.

The Role:

Join our journey to bring Holland & Barrett's trusted products to millions worldwide. As an Own Brand Sourcing Manager for the Fruit, Nuts, and Seeds category, you'll drive impactful sourcing strategies, working closely with global suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

This is a part-time, job share role, requiring 3 days of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimisation:

  • Develop and execute global sourcing strategies to achieve the Sourcing three-year business plan, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Implement Landed Cost and Should-be cost models to ensure accurate total cost assessments and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Drive supplier cost optimisation, streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve inventory turnover using lean principles.
  • Monitor global markets and mitigate risks by proactively addressing supply chain challenges like raw material price fluctuations.
Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing:
  • Advocate sustainable and ethical sourcing by partnering with suppliers to reduce environmental impact and enhance supply chain transparency.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with ethical labour and environmental standards while integrating sustainability goals into sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate with ESG to align sourcing strategies with quality, ethical, and sustainability requirements.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management:
  • Build and maintain strong global supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business goals for quality, cost efficiency, and innovation.
  • Negotiate contracts with favourable terms for pricing, quality, delivery, and total cost of ownership.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance using KPIs like on-time delivery, quality, and cost, driving continuous improvement.
Lean Supply Chain & Process Improvement:
  • Lead initiatives to streamline sourcing and procurement processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Apply lean methodologies to improve collaboration with suppliers and shorten production cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with Product Integrity, Product Development, Supply Chain, Burton Packaging, and Finance teams to:
    • Ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards.
    • Align sourcing strategies with market trends and customer demands.
    • Drive make-vs-buy decisions to optimise value chain profitability.
Location: Based in Nuneaton, this is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the office 2 days per week.

The Person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field with strong analytical skills.
  • Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and cost modeling.
  • Strong financial acumen and advanced Excel skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Commitment to sustainable, ethical sourcing and familiarity with ESG standards.
  • Proficient in managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • In-depth understanding of market trends and consumer insights impacting supply chains.
