Company Overview

CPI Mortars were pioneers within the UK construction materials industry in the late 1990s with the construction of the UK's first dry mortar plant. It is now the only national dry mortar producer operating across a network of nine EuroMix manufacturing plants. EuroMix dry mortars, renders, plasters and concretes are used by the major construction companies in the UK on housing, industrial, educational and infrastructure projects.

CPI also operates a state-of-the-art bagging operation at Carlton Manufacturing which supplies the merchant and contractors' market with a range of bagged ready to use concrete, mortar and fence post mixes.

CPI are part of the Grafton Group Plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and who provide us with terrific support as the parent company.

Job Description

Working within the Transport Compliance Team, you will assist in planning, booking and maintaining compliance across a fleet of HGVs and light goods vehicles, as well as assisting plants in the rectification of defects, and day-to-day administration of the fleet throughout the 9 CPI locations. You will be expected to provide an efficient and effective service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Scheduling and booking maintenance tasks and communicating to plants upcoming and due events.
  2. Maintaining vehicle and driver details within the fleet management system.
  3. Assisting and liaising with plant management with day-to-day issues relating to the rectification of defects.
  4. Liaising with service providers and ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  5. Reporting and communicating information to the plant management.
  6. Measuring driver related KPIs.
  7. Reviewing driver training requirements and helping to coordinate with plant management.
  8. General administration within the transport compliance function.
